by Clare Hamilton (age 9)

On Monday, I did everything right-
except put on my pants.
On Tuesday, I went to sit down at my desk
but then I saw that it was covered in ants.
On Wednesday, I thought I was late for school
but then I looked at the clock and saw that it was 5:30.
On Thursday I went out to recess,
I tripped over a rock, plopped right into the mud
and got very dirty.
On Friday I forgot that there was no school
and when I saw that no one was there, I felt like a fool.
