Best Fake Tilt-Shift Time-Lapse :: Rob Putnam’s Midway Airport

herocious

Dusk in Chicago, the day’s second twilight, and Rob Putnam is trying to find a way to kill some time before the departure of his delayed flight.  He doesn’t have much inside his carry-on, but, thanks to the inspiration that is Midway Airport, he won’t need much to create beauty:

Photos taken outside gate B8 at MDW airport. 300 images were used at 10 fps to create the clip. The goal was to catch to plane pulling away from gate and departing, but I ran out of time.

Song: “Comfortably Numb” by Scissor Sisters

It should be noted that the first time I saw this piece, my volume was muted.
