I’m Not a Fish :: Nine Examples of Fisheye Photography

herocious

In rummaging through the archives for these nine images, I noticed there were two types of fishy photos to choose from.  Some fisheye images are made with a circular lens, while others use a full-frame lens.

The former results in an image that is contained within a circle, which, in turn, is inscribed within the film or, in the case of digital cameras, sensor area.  The latter takes the image circle and circumscribes it around the film or sensor area, thereby eliminating the wasted space of circular lenses.
