Pi to How Many Decimal Places?

And just 73 hours and 36 minutes later, a super computer [640 high-performance computers clustered together to achieve processing speeds of 95 teraflops] spit out pi to 2,576,980,377,524 decimal places.

University of Tsukuba professor, Daisuke Takahashi, spearheaded the research team responsible for this massive calculation, which has already been given to the Guiness Book of World Records for official review and recognition.

The previous record holders from Hitachi and the University of Tokyo took 601 hours and 56 minutes in 2002 to calculate pi to a measly 1.2 trillion decimals places.

In other news, where does the above display of pi go wrong?
