Where should I begin? I don’t have an outline to follow, so pardon my jumpiness. I’m addressing these letters to You, but I don’t know your name, so I’ll name you Person. If you want to speak to my face, you can reach me here:

Now, time to begin my rant: Companies defer all costs to the consumer. The consumer must pay for everything.

They don’t work for us; we work for them.

Fuck the workforce. I will NOT work for the workforce. The workforce is–trite as this may sound–overworked and underpaid.

Companies prosper at the expense of the workforce.

Micro-employment is the way to go. Keep people out of the workforce. Friends with higher income should invest a fraction of their excess income in friends with lower income.* I do not know if this is socialism. I really don’t know what this is. I do know, however, that capitalism breeds obesity, regret, and unhappiness.

Capitalism isn’t the answer.

Fuck the Trickle-Down effect. The problem with the Trickle-Down effect is its lack of focus. We have no control over where the money is going, or whom it’s helping out. I am lobbying for more control over where your money goes, and that means limiting consumerism and crapshoot investments. Rather, start investing expendable income directly in the people you love and want to see happy, not faceless companies.

They don’t work for us; we work for them–and we work for them double time.

Let me explain:

As an employee, our own company shamelessly violates us; our own company keeps us down. Then, after work, as an “empowered” consumer, another faceless company shamelessly violates us, all in the name of capitalism.

And if we dare to complain about being ripped off and cheated, if we dare to raise so much as a finger to protest, the brainwashed people around us, the worker bees who are also indentured to debt and the ways of the workforce, will drone, “Work harder you lazy bum! Work harder you good-for-nothing. If you want something in life you just have to work harder!” But these people will not mean work harder to change the disgusting way things are done, they will mean work harder to make more money and be cheated, they will mean work harder to stay fat and regretful and depressed.

It’s a vicious cycle that must stop.

But who can save us, if faceless companies think of nothing other than shareholders, and the government has its own agenda that will never line up with ours?

The only answer to this question is US. We are the only ones who can save ourselves. Not companies, not governments, but US. Please bear with me as I try to figure out a possible way.
