The above pic is a close-up of an HC Berg sculpture, Light Cell-Horizon, 2007.
The mediums used: acrylics and 315,000 Collins straws.
Here’s another photo of the sculpture. I guess you could call this my self-portrait.
As you can see, wherever you look into straws arranged by the hands of HC Berg, the result is a black hole. The size of the black hole is a function of the distance between the sculpture and the viewer. Pretty neat. Makes you think about focal points in a new way.
