I’m sorry but, to put a current player in the top 10 historical is over doing it. When Kobe and James retire, only then will they be “Historical”. And remember kids, it took Jordan what 5? to get his first ring? James has already taken a team to historic lengths single handedly. Of course Kobe can show off. He has an entire team of amazing players. When Kobe can run a team then maybe he’ll gain “greatest” but, until then, James still has a lot more to show the world.

Ted Wat the f*** wrong with u Kobe is the best in NBA right now.. Micheal is the greatest and Kobe is second..listen only 5 years old think Lebron James is better then Kobe… Kobe have more blocks, points, rings, steals, have a better 3, Kobe make shots are to great.. I think the list is somewhere around this..
1. Lebron James (He doesn’t have a champion ring but he did have a spectacular season) almost 30 ppg, 7 rpg, and 8 apg. He’s greater than kobe in all 5 major statistics. (Not a fan of Lebron) I’m not saying hes better than kobe, but his stats is what makes us believe hes number 1.
2. Kobe Bryant- His stats aren’t much impressive than lebron, but his game winning shots is what makes him the second top on the list. Plus, lebron is only 24, he could do mad crazy stuffs than kobe. Can’t really compare him with lebron since they play totally different positions.
3. Dwyane Wade (My favorite player in the NBA) His points, assists, and rebounds aren’t as big as lebron, but his plays are insane, esp driving in to the basket. His steals and blocks are also a reason why i like him. THis is what i called “able to play both ends of the floor.” (same goes for lebron)
4. Kevin Durant- Great plays , great dunks, great everything. 2nd highest ppg on the list. Almost 30 ppg. ‘enuff said.
5. Dwight Howard THis guy is a beast, either blocking shots or under the basket. THis guy averages out 3 blks and 13 boards per game. Totally impressive.
6. Carmello Anthony Don’t really watch him play much, but do know the fact that he belongs in #6. This guy is just a pure talent shooter. Excellent player.
7. Dirk Nowitzi (forgot how to spell his name) This guy is amazing. He is one of the reasons why the Mav is dominating (along with many great players such as Jason Kidd)
8. Chris Bosh I went over some of the lists and i was amazingly surprised that this guy is nowhere on most of the lists. This guy just has to be on the list.
9. Chris Paul- He didnt have a great season this year and had been injured almost throughout the whole season. BUt when he was on the court, he did have amazing games. I believe, if he was healthy, he would have been one of the top five, but due to his injuried, i would put him in number 9 for now. (He’s also my fav player, along with d wade)
10. Amare Stoudimare- I know there are lots of great athletes should be in the top ten, such as Tim Duncan, D Will, etc. but the way Amare Stoudimare helped his team is just too much.
Kobe Sucks
I believe kobe is only good in the offensive side of the court and has lousy defense so lb james is beter

LeBron isn’t number one right now, as far as i know, he hasn’t led his team to a championship yet, and he’s definitely not top 10 of all time. Kobe Bryant is the best player in the league at his position and maybe the best all around player in the league. He is the captain of the most watched team around the world that happen to be the reigning champs.

ted
Are you 5 years old? Kobe and Julius have no business being on this list! Where are Bob Pettit and Oscar Robertson? Michael Jordan was all hype and was given half what he deserved in this league because he was marketable. Beating up Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton is child’s play and the boy was 1-11 or so w/o Pippen in the playoffs. Magic should be on top of this list. Hakeem was a better center than Shaq is today, swept him in ’95. And yes, I think when it’s all said and done, Lebron will probably be considered the greatest in NBA history, too bad he didn’t allow his teammates to handle more responsibility during their series against Orlando…But the whole idea of the debate is bias and skewed because each generation plays with different rules and stats can be deceiving. It’s all relative and proportionate. But- Magic won 5 titles with an aging Kareem and a cast of players he made good in a league with Moses, Isaiah, Bird, Julius, Hakeem, Malone and Stockton, Drexler, Wilkins, Dantley, English, Ewing, Barkley, Gervin, Gilmore, King, KJ, Pippen and of course Jordan and probably would have won 8 titles had LA not suffered injuries in 91, 89, and 83 Finals.

In defense of Rick Barry, who should be amended into your top ten historical list:
Most points scored in a six-game series:
Jerry West
Michael Jordan
Rick Barry
LeBron James
(sorry, i don’t remember the precise number. i do remember that all range somewhere in the 200s)
wnu
Someone argued last night that LeBron would dethrone MJ as the best player ever within a few years. Agree?
bill
Dude your an idiot, you kinda left Tim Duncan off the list. Figure it out dumbass
herocious
One thing I LIKE about this list: LBJ, in some circles known as LeBron James or King James, is not in the top ten historical, as I believe, like many in the know, that he is a weak player that will never benefit any NBA team enough to bring home a championship. He does know how to dance to bad music, however.
One thing I DON’T like about this list: Rick Barry isn’t in the top ten historical.
