The Open End, aka TOE, is a collaborative blog featuring multimedia insights into any and every topic.
There are no hard criteria for content on TOE, only an appreciation for creativity and substance. TOE adheres to these egalitarian guidelines because we believe that the world is woven together in some loose yet significant manner. With each contribution from disparate sources and media, networks of original art mirroring everyday life will grow naturally.
Instead of spending an hour putting together cogent paragraphs, why not spend thirty seconds slopping together a tweet and move on with your day, or to another worthless update? We know it’s tempting, but blogging shouldn’t be about time. That’s never what blogging was about.
People didn’t start blogging to save time. If anything, literate people had way too much time to spare and wanted to be productive during these hours. They chose sentence crafting as the best possible way to use this freedom, because it counteracts the brain atrophy that results from sitting around doing passive activities like watching TV… or micro blogging.
TOE wants to give you this opportunity to guest post. It’ll grow your brain, and maybe make you famous.
The content and categories are Open-Ended. We are actively seeking original creative work {writing, art, music, video, photography, etc.}. We also love commentary, rants, news, and ideas.
