Gang Members Fight :: Noble Square, Chicago

I hear shouting outside my third-floor window.  I grab the camera and hurry to see what’s going down on the street.  I see a pair of crutches on the sidewalk and these two guys directly under me.  The crowd of people gathering around them doesn’t help alleviate the tension.  I sit the camera on the window sill for stability, but the leafless tree branches screw up my focal point at the decisive moment.  After this punch, cop sirens sound.  The guy in the red tee runs across the street and into Eckhart Park.  The guy in the white tee tries to follow, but the crutches were his.  The cops arrive on the scene only to find the mass of people dispersing.  No one knows anything.
